Winter is coming and so is the common cold. Your entire body is begging you to stay in bed to avoid the cold weather but the truth is you have to go to work and continue with your life. So, what can you do to avoid getting sick? Here are 4 easy ways to stay healthy.


Sleep! Yes, sleep! The recommended number of hours a person should sleep go from 7 to 9 yet the average person sleeps around 6 hours a day. Not sleeping enough affects your immune system increasing the chances of you getting sick. Go ahead and sleep the 9 hours you need to and prevent getting a cold.


Go for the milk. Yeah that is right! Drinking milk and eating dairy products helps your immune system improve by providing you with vitamins A and B12


Eat the greens. Just like milk, fruits and vegetables are a great source of vitamins that improve your immune system. You know the saying: an apple a day keeps the doctor away.


Warm meals. I don’t mean the obvious eating a meal in the correct temperature, I mean eating meals such as soup that are supposed to be taken warmer. This is a great way to eat delicious and at the same time keep yourself warm and avoid a cold.
